We are pleased to announce that one of our favourite producers Justus Kohncke has finally given in to the constant barrage of requests to work with us. Yes, welcome to the rank of Nang Cosmonauts Justus. He has kindly agreed to work on a new artist album for us for release in late 2011 / 2012 but in the time being we just had to pop the mans cherry and get some Kohncke-tunage released on Nang.
First up is an EP of two brand new compositions. Fussmachine and Renewal. We have also included a remix and wrapped it all into the Fussmachine EP.
EPs lead track is an angular house stomper. Its full of trademark stabby bass with off beat piano stabs all underpinned with some kinky drums. This track is floor all the way. For the remix Irish newcomer Lasertom is let loose on the parts, he keeps things floor led and adds stabby-brassy keys & saucy guitar licks.
"Renewal" heads up the flip. More Cowbell, "you betcha". The warbling bass provides a grooving foundation for a 70's sci-fi style main riff. It a housemusic spy soundtrack.
Justus Kohncke has just finished the 3rd instalment of our "New Masters" series compilations and expect this to splashland sometime in the late Spring, big names all around folks.
