The Remixes

A 12 track leftfield/idm single (1h 16m 5s) — released November 23rd 2009 on Nang

We open with the classic 'Magic Fly'. Here we decided we steer clear of remixes which would no doubt come up short, but we did remaster it to give it a 2009 sonic punch. Next up Slovenian Ichisan (who we recently heard described as a Lindstrom for the dancefloor) takes on 'Just Blue' from Space album 3. Sare Havliceks take on 'Fasten Seat Belts' pays homage to the synth-bass drive of the original. Staying with Album 1 Italo man-of-the-moment Bottin takes 'Tango In Space' on a funked up clavinet and slap bass detour. Bottins mix of 'Carry On Turn Me On' is also included on vinyl from the recent Tirk release. Loudery and Bottins dancefloor grooving edit of 'Mixed Up' also makes a welcome appearance. 'Air Force' is given the nu-disco treatment by Bearfunk new star King DJ. We've un-earthed a previously "buried in an un-used multitrack" performance by Didier on vocal monster 'Deliverance' and label buddies Foto do their rolling bass thing twang on it. Ilya Santana goes twiddley on 'Running In The City' and Acos Coolkas take things downtempo with a moody take on 'Flying Nightmare'. Our Russian label debut releasers D-Pulse deliver a most excellent funk-guitar heavy mix of 'Prison'. JP Illiesco describes their version as "like the way I always wanted it to sound", which we were all most honoured to hear. We also include some long lost original mixes from back in the day. Superstar DJ (from before there were Superstar DJs) Rusty Egan gets all drummy on his take on 'Tender Force' and we go bongo-tastic with Save Your Love.
